Frequently asked questions

About the Adjust-a-Bowl Pet Feeder

How do you mount the feeder to the wall?

Each Adjust-a-Bowl Pet Feeder comes with its own mounting hardware; 2- screws, 2-plastic screw covers, and 2-plastic screw anchors.  There are two mounting holes at the center top and bottom of the wall mounting plate.  Place the wall mounting plate on the wall at your chosen location and mark the wall through the mounting holes.  It is highly recommended to attach the wall mounting plate directly to a wall stud.  Pre-drill the holes with the appropriate size drill bit.  Slip each screw through the enclosed screw covers and screw the plate to the wall.  Snap closed the cover over the head of the screw.  If no studs are available, screws anchors are provided.

IMPORTANT: The wall mounting plate must be mounted with the label at the top.  If it is reversed, the bowl holding bracket will not fit properly.

How high should I mount the wall mounting plate?

The height of the mounting plate should be determined by the breed, age and size of your pet.  If your pet is still young and growing, you should choose a mounting height that will allow your pet to comfortably eat at one of the lower sets of holes but still leaves room for them to grow to full size and be able to use a higher set of holes.

Can I use a different bowl with the feeder?

The feeder comes with standard 2-quart bowls.  Many other 2-quart bowls with a perimeter lip around them should also fit.

Does the Adjust-a-Bowl Pet Feeder stop my pet from spilling food and water on the floor?

No, it will not stop your pet from spilling food and water on the floor.  It has been noted by many users that their pets spill less food and water because they don’t have to dip their head down to the bowls and back up again with each mouthful.  If they do spill something on the floor, no need to worry because it is mounted on the wall and you can sweep and mop the floor without ever touching the bowls!
